1778 Catherine McAuley was born in Dublin Ireland
1831 Catherine McAuley took her religious vows
1841 Catherine McAuley died
1873 The First Sister of Mercy travelled by steamer from Brisbane to Rockhampton
1882 The Congregation on of the Sisters of Mercy became a separate foundation and Mother M Agnes White became the first superior
1885 Sisters established there first school in Kent Street
1915 Mater Misericordiae Hospital Rockhampton opened
1927 Mater Misericordiae Hospital Mackay opened
1940 The Sisters were given a small private hospital in Rockhampton to be used as an Aged Care Facility now called Bethany
1945 Mater Misericordiae Hospital Bundaberg opened
1995 Mercy Linen Service opened
1996 McAuley Place was opened
1997 Mercy Food Service opened
1997 Opening of Leinster Place
1998 The Range Village was opened
1998 Mercy Day Therapy Center and Mercy Day Respite Center opened at there current locations
1998 Mackay Mater Day Unit opened
1998 Mater Misericordiae Hospital Yeppoon opened
1999 Mater Misericordiae Hospital Gladstone opened
2003 New Mater Misericordiae Hospital Mackay was opened
2003 Old Mater Misericordiae Hospital Mackay closed
