Post Graduate Nurse Transition Program 2011 Expressions of Interest

Aim

The Post Graduate Registered Nurse Transition Program aims to provide a comprehensive and individualized program enabling the beginning practitioner to more easily transfer and consolidate their existing knowledge, skills, attitudes and values to the new clinical practice setting.

Program Features

• A six (6) month intensive program
• Orientation to the hospital and nursing practice including comprehensive clinical workshops/ in-services
• Phased Transition into the clinical environment
• Flexible, family friendly rostering
• Personalised support of the Staff Development Coordinator
• Ward/clinical area based Registered Nurse Preceptor
• Consolidation of knowledge and skills by rotations through all clinical areas within the facility
• Access to Clinical Nurse Consultants in a variety of clinical areas
