The Range Village

Opened in July 1999 the Range Village is located in the grounds of the former Range College. The Village is situated on the Corberry and Gordon Street part of the site, and boasts superb views of Rockhampton city. Despite its elevated position, clever and attentive design allows all residents of the village access to their units from level ground.

The Range Village is made up of 34 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units. Car accommodation ranges from carports to fully enclosed garages. The gardens are extensively landscaped and residents have access to a Chapel, swimming pool, and Middle Hall community centre. Emergency call facilities in each unit are designed to alert staff at the McAuley Place residential aged care facility, which is located on the same site in case of an emergency.

With its splendid facilities, unparalleled location and linkages with other Mercy Aged Care facilities and services, the Range Village has developed into a vibrant community in its own right.

The Range Village is registered with the Department of Tourism, Racing and Fair Trading under the Retirement Villages Act 1999.

Bethany Village

Bethany Village comprises 13 units of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom accommodation in either semi detached weatherboard or brick veneer construction. Located on the same site as Bethany residential aged care facility, the Village offers residents a secure community environment with a range of advantages. The units are equipped with Tunstall emergency call telephones and personal pendants to provide residents with peace of mind in the event of an emergency. There are on site maintenance and grounds staff and residents have access to the site Chapel and other facilities. Although the focus of Bethany Village is independent living, residents are also encouraged to take part in the life of the entire site including the residential aged care facility.
